Journey
OnLY In
What grows beneath your idle feet? Does the mold, the moss, the habits of the past expand in the space between the soles of your shoes and the firmament? Deeper still, what would you find? Spiders, and ogres; worms in decay; or just the fossils on fossils on fossils. Death over death. Beyond, what turns the wheel? You knew before you even began to dig. It has been whispering to you for as long as you can remember; obliterate this, ruin that, sabotage. Or did a choir of angels intervene?
The Future Wilds follows explorers, soldiers, engineers, prophets, revolutionaries, and ordinary people as they inherit a world assembled from post-singularity technologies and mystical revelation. Some believe they know the moral good and the purposeful life, while others question the very legitimacy of thought. Each endures long-established and newly emerging powers, shrouded either by the secrets of humanity or the complexity of new machine intelligence. Blending speculative science, philosophical fiction, psychological horror, and epic adventure, The Future Wilds unfolds as a vast, interconnected history, not of what humanity becomes, but of what has quietly followed us all along.

Look Up
But can you feel deeply the reverberations from below? The tug and pull, the undulation in your soul. You can use it, make it your own. You can spread your arms and welcome the multitude inward. The consequence is small for the exceptional. The rewards may be many. Or else, you may find obliteration, a new kind of psychosis from which destruction of self and others blooms forth.

The Last Sparrow
From my perch I watch them gather
They gather skyward for their travels
Their chattering bliss the breeze does follow
Each day they take up what is offered
Each day they flourish in the washing spirals
This day I’ll be the left-behind sparrow
Deepest sorrow for weakness burrows
Through my wings and in my bones
My passage no longer able
Coldest loneliest dying sparrow

Isabell was sure her thoughts were her own. They’d been with her for as long as she could remember, and she could remember long ago.
